My two busiest times of the year with padlocks are spring & late summer. Late summer because of children going back to school & needing some type of padlock for their school locker.

Spring because most homeowners lock their sheds in the fall & forget about that lonely padlock; protecting their yard gear, out in the elements & lots of times the homeowners misplaces or loses the keys altogether.

I also see it often on storage units. The same situation, move stuff in & forget about it for 6 months or longer. Often times this leads to lost keys.
