You’re probably wondering, like I was, “What IS a sting letter?”

Well, if you are a business owner, this is actually a highly effective way to get your overdue invoices paid and up to date. It’s very simple and it works.

You see, you will have a total of three, short, one-page letters you send out over time to clients that have gone past their 35–60 day pay period. (Your pay period may vary.)

I send letter number one out 15 days past the first overdue date.

Attached, via scotch tape, to the top of each letter is a piece of string. I like to use a bright color; pink, orange or what have you and it is usually 3–4 inches in length.

Below the string, I have a headline that reads.
